Nasarawa Deputy Governor Swapped My Name At NASIEC-Councillorship Candidate of APC Cries Out For Justice

Honorable Muhammed Mustapha Councillorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress representing Sarkin Dawaki electoral ward of Doma Local Government Council of Nasarawa State has threatened to seek justice in a court of law if his name is missing at the substantive winner of the Councillorship primary held last week.

Mahmud says he would do everything possible to ensure that he remains the genuine flag bearer of the Sarkin Dawaki electoral ward.

He further explained that he has since been given a certificate of return, but sees the handwriting on the walls that the Deputy Governor is hell-bent to twist the outcome of the transparent primary election.

The electoral ward has a total of 904 delegates including special delegates.

Certificate of return issued to him

The Public Relations Officer of NASIEC in a telephone interview debunked the allegation that the Commission swapped names of Councillorship candidates at the recently concluded primary election.

He said any change of candidate is from the State Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the State not the office of the electoral umpire, The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, He confirmed.

 

The State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe when contacted could not be reached for comment and did not respond to a text message sent to him as at press time.
