Nasarawa Boils Again: Dozens Feared Dead As Suspected Fulani Gunmen Attacks Udeni Magaji Community
Dozens of persons have been reported dead following an attack by suspected Fulani gunmen who had killed not less than 38 persons in Afo community in Udeni Magaji community of Nasarawa Local Government.
There was a mass exodus of women, under aged and the aged in neighboring villages of Amaku, Agbashi, Odeni and amongst other communities seeking forrefuge in a safer place.
Available information revealed that over thirty (30) household were burnt to ashes by people identified to be armed Fulani militia.
Those running away from the crisis zone also include Fulani women who are controlling herds of their cattle; as learnt by this medium the fracas has continued this continued to generate some heat in the state.
The death toll, according to unconfirmed source has risen to 38, but the Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Ismaila Numan during a telephone conversation unfolded that 12 persons were killed while scores of houses destroyed.
ASP Numan averred that the skirmishes ensued following the abduction and massacre of three Fulani youngsters by unsuspected gunmen, He said a sizeable number of policemen was deployed to the area to quell the situation, Adding that normalcy is returning to the crisis area.
