The hunter is being hunted is the best clause that qualifies the unfolding scenario between the Chief Executive and the legislative arm of government in the state, An impeccable source from the Shendam Road Assembly complex revealed that the House members pushed up the normal wage bill of workers in the Assembly, the bubble busted when the governor demanded for the former cheques of Assembly wage bill which was over inflated.
A source who pleaded anonymity said the actual amount was over inflated as members are anxious to generate their campaign bounty from the illegal money which was over inflated.
The non-payment of two months’ salary was not only to the outgoing members but also extended to staff of the Assembly, Workers are grappling with grim situation with the present economic crunch affecting the nation, the bankruptcy of the Assembly foisted some workers to embark on a trekking from city centre to Assembly complex which was outside the town.
One of the workers in an interview maintained that he has been serving as a casual worker for the past twelve year ,It was reliably gathered that over 100 staff are casual workers.
The Nasarawa Assembly members are playing hide and seek with the chief executive, some commentators are of the view that majority of the former lawmakers may be absent at the valedictory session of the outgoing Assembly.
The PDP controlled House suffered in the just concluded election in the hands of the ruling party in the state. There was palpable jubilation in all most all the areas visited.
