Nasarawa ADP Challenges Gov. Al-Makura Over An Attempt To Sale State Assets

The Acting Chairman of the African Democratic Party, Nasarawa State Chapter, Idris Ishaku has kicked against an attempt by governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to sell State Assets.

Ishaku in an exclusive interview with Journalists at the party secretariat along Makurdi road, Lafia described the act as a mischievous attempt to plunge the state into calamity.

The party strongly condemned the entire process as anti-people policy and called for the reverse of the process in its entirety.

Also speaking the state Secretary of the party, Hon. Yahaya Mohammed Awe called on the state Assembly to make a U-turn on the best interest of the populace of Nasarawa state.

The former member representing Awe North under the auspices of the People’s Democratic Party expressed dissatisfaction over the express approval by the Assembly.

The state chairman while reacting over the leadership tussle between former senator Yusuf Nagogo and the national leadership of the party, said the party did not recognize Sen.Nagogo as the party chairman.

“Sen.Nagogo is the party chairman as well the governorship candidate of the party, this is impossible because we told him that if he wants to contest he should relinquish the chairmanship seat but he wants the two positions which the national leadership of the party is against”.

He accused Yusuf Nagogo of indulging in anti-party activities, declaring that Sen. Nagogo belongs to the ruling Party, the All Progressives Congress, PDM, and ADP.

The acting chairman described the embattled Chairman as a political prostitute and gambler.

“He printed posters without political party “he reiterated.

Sen. Yusuf. Nagogo could not be reached as at press time for comment.
