Nasarawa 2019: I Will Create Ministry For Criticism If I Am Elected-Hon.Aliyu Wadada

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa state ahead of the 2019 election said he would play an inclusive government by creating a ministry for criticism in the state.

Hon.Aliyu Wadada hinted this in Doma local government at the occasion of the defection of one time councilor of Madaki ward, Hajiya Fatimah alongside other stalwarts of the opposition political party, the People’s Democratic Party.

The governorship hopeful said the creation of ministry for criticism is meant to give the opposition a sense of belonging in the development of the state.

“No meaningful development would thrive when those at the behest of affairs mortgage criticism” stating that his style of leadership was about the people of Nasarawa state.

“Politics is all about development and anything short of that is not politics at all, calling on people of Nasarawa state to shun politics of religion, ethnicity and betrayal.

“PDP is like a ripe fruit that has fallen down from a tree, saying little was achieved under the PDP”.

“No doubt her defection was in connection with my recent decamping to the ruling party in the state”.Hon.Aliyu Wadada, who grace the defection, described Fatimah as a dodged woman politician and grass root mobilizer.

The PDP has again lost grip of another member to the ruling, All Progressives Congress, the APC in Doma local government of Nasarawa state, the PDP it could be recalled lost a onetime speaker of the council and his teeming supporters to APC.

The state party chairman, Philip Shekwor said the defection in Doma was a litmus test to the success stories of the party at all levels, adding that the party has succeeded in tackling Book Haram insurgency in Northeast.

Calling on people of Nasarawa state to support the led Umaru Tanko Al-Makura administration, the representative of the state chairman, Baba Sale assured the people of the state that the current economic challenges would be over soon.

The Interim Management Committee chairman of Doma, Hon.John Ogah said the defection is just a tip of an iceberg, saying more would join the ruling party.

He said Doma would benefit immensely under the APC government from the constructions of two township bridges, stating that projects would commence within the short time.

The chief security officer affirmed that the council is doing all it possible best in the maintenance of law and order.

Mustapha Galadima, former Secretary of the party welcome the defectors to the party fold, he called the party leadership to consider the newcomers as able members of the party.

“There should be equal treatment between old and new members, he attested that Doma has achieved a lot under the reign of Al-Makura than the successive regime of Aliyu Akwe Doma,a son of Doma.

“This asphalt road linking guest house to the main town was constructed by Al-Makura, this road suffers serious neglect under Akwe Doma and if not our intervention this very place would not be accessible today”.

“I could recalled when few people including myself join the then CPC we were humiliated, our houses were burnt, some even call us names but thank God the same people are defecting to the ruling party.

Hon.Mustapha Yahaya Idris, the commissioner for Community and Rural Development in his speech called on party leadership from state, local government and ward level to ensure decorum in party affairs.

He also called on the defectors to remain committed, agile and be steadfast by working towards the success of the party, the grass root mobilizer sued for unity amongst party faithful.

Also speaking the immediate past chairman, Hon. Henry Omaku drum support for the party as he used the occasion to ask for forgiveness from all those he hurts when he held sway as the elected chairman of Doma local government.

“I will seize this opportunity to seek for forgiveness by people I hurt in one way or the other in the cause of running the office of chairman, and as for me I forgive all those that sin against me, he added.

The occasion was well attended by chieftains of the ruling party especially politicians from Nasarawa West senatorial district.
