N3bn Monthly IGR By 2024 Is A Mission Possible-Executive Chairman BIRS

The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Board of Internal Revenue Service Ahmed Mohammed Yakubu has described the N3bn monthly target of the State Government is a mission possible.

The Chairman stated this during the end-of-year maiden dinner and award night held at De 1st Crown hotel, Lafia recently.

Ahmed Mohammed Yakubu while giving insight on why he will accomplish the N3bn monthly tax collection said already the automation of the process was in place devoid of total human interference.

He confirmed that other enablers that will boost Internally Generated Revenue were the existence of seven zonal offices and nineteen Area offices of the revenue board.

“Our autonomy will enable us to employ more staff that will help us do our work without hassles, By next year, I know if we employ more, it will ease our work

The Chairman of, the Revenue Board shortly after his keynote address called on his staff to remain steadfast, adding that the awardees were selected based on their commitment in different spheres.

Ahmed Mohammed Yakubu averred that the board has distributed laptops and motorcycles, all meant to yield fruitful results.

One of the awardees, Damian Ofonebu of Top 10 Pharmaceutical Limited Lafia while speaking on behalf of the awardees appreciated the State Board of Internal Revenue Services for recognizing them.

“Something I’m doing in Lafia like Joke, and today I’m a receiver of award of best taxpayer of the year, saying nothing will be possible if investors refused to pay their tax”.

Also, Mr.Bulus, a staff of the revenue board commended the hardship of the board for the recognition amongst other workers, He said the award and reward will spur him to do more in 2024.
