My Response To The Allegations Against Me & Plateau State Muslim Board- Barr Awal Abdullahi

1. There was never a time that I was the Executive Secretary auctioned any vehicle, as it is not within my responsibility to do such, the three old rickety old vehicles that were auctioned in our board were done by the Ministry of Finance under the then Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alh. Sani Yahaya Mavo and to the best of our knowledge follows a laid down procedure and due process This allegation is false and untrue.

2. There was no any misappropriation and/ or diversion of any fund at the board as all monies released to the board are prudently accounted for, a peruse into our expenditure will reveal the true financial position of things.

3. The issue of the 2022 Hajj has come with its challenges which were not only peculiar to Plateau State alone, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has since issued and tendered an apology to that effect, it is only mischievous and malicious for anybody to accuse Plateau State Muslims Pilgrims Board for the failure of the commission which has become a national embarrassment.

I, therefore, challenge anybody to show even one of my relatives or family member that made it to Hajj for this year 2022.

4. The issue of Estacode is a regulatory matter and every official or an operating staff is entitled to it, and it must be given to everyone before the journey, in order to be transparent we disbursed the estacode to our various beneficiaries and also BTA/PTA to other intending pilgrims before our flight, only for us to be confronted with the disappointment of Nahcon and Air Carriers, and there was no way we will thrive same from them.

5. His Excellency the Executive Governor is a seasoned administrator who will not be hoodwinked to do an irrational and haphazard investigation based on hearsay, malice, mischief, hatred, and envy.

If anybody has any proof of the above allegations he should go to court and not resort to public sympathy and outright lies and falsehood.

6. On the issue of refunds during the 2018 Hajj operations the facts are still there at the Ministry of finance for anyone that cares to know the truth.

7. We will like to reaffirm our total commitments to making the Plateau pilgrims welfare board a better place and a corrupt free entity in line with the vision and aspiration of our amiable Governor Barr. Simon Bako Lalong.
