Mutfwang Assures Tinubu 2 Million Votes In 2027 As He Officially Joins APC With His Cabinet

Governor Caleb Manasseh mutfwang of Plateau State has been officially received by the All Progressives Congress (APC)   Chairman , Hon .Rufus Bature  ,the Local Government Area  Chairman APC,Hon. Ladan Garkuwa and his ward chairman in Ampant West on Friday.

The official defection took place at Victoria Gowon Hall, Little Rayfield, Plateau State Government House where the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders, Commissioners,17 LGAs, including appointees denounce their membership to decamped to the opposition party. 

However,  the gathering of political pundits heralded another new dawn in the politics of Plateau State were the venue was full with heavy political bigwigs from the PDP and APC folds.

Besides, the progress and milestones achieved in the life and time of Governor Caleb Manasseh’s inclusive governance moved to the APC secretariat to acclimatize with his renewed hope agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu home.

The Governor Mutfwang who was full of gratitude for the people of Plateau State for their overwhelming support for him in the 2023 general elections, even though he decided to take a critical decision for the interest of the state to secure the economic development of the State.

He also drove in companied of the State Chairman, Rufus Bature, Secretary of State Government, Arc. Nanchang Samuel Jatau, Engr Satmak, Sen. Simon Bako Lalong, Sen.Diket Plang,Rt.Hon.Yusuf Babayo Gagdi ,Hon.Vincent Venmak,and other prominent politicians in the state.

The governor was welcomed into the family of All Progressives Congress with courageous decision, firm resolve, clear conviction, and timely and highly commendable.

Indeed, this moment marks the dawn of a new chapter, one that presents a unique opportunity for unity, cooperation, and collective engagement among all critical stakeholders, with the shared goal of delivering a truly people-centred and inclusive administration for our dear people.

We sincerely appreciate and commend our visionary leader, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, His Excellency, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, for his open-door leadership style and political maturity, which continue to attract progressive-minded leaders and decampees. His efforts have further strengthened the APC at both national and grassroots levels, consolidating the party as the true platform for sustainable development and good governance.

It is our belief that the  honest expectation that Your Excellency will work closely with APC leaders across all levels to uphold and advance the ideals, principles, and policies of APC  under the purposeful leadership of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

You would recall that, Gov Caleb Mutfwang has  officially join the All Progressives Congress (APC) today, January 2, 2026 as he resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on December 29, 2025, citing the need for “purposeful leadership and clarity of direction”.

 The APC membership card presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place at Victoria Gowon Hall, Government House, Rayfield, Plateau State, at 11:00 a.m.

Mutfwang’s decision to join the APC is seen as a strategic move to align Plateau State with the Federal Government’s policies and accelerate development in the state.

 He has expressed commitment to inclusive governance and unity, and the APC has welcomed him, pledging support for his new political journey.

Mutfwang assured the people of Plateau that God give power to promising to end circle of hatred amongst the diverse ethnic groups residents in the state as politicians continue create acrimony between them.

According to him, the challenges of occupying elective position in the Plateau state is not for us to see each others as enemies but to ripe the dividends of democracy and ensure progress and development.

He pledged his administration commitment in the reelection bid of President Tinubu with the renewed hope agenda Nigeria is on the rise again promise 2 million votes for the president in the forthcoming election.

Earlier, the Secretary to the Government, Arc Nanchang Samuel Jatau in his welcome speech expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor Caleb Manasseh mutfwang.

He noted that the re-engineering agenda of mutfwang is yielding positive impact  so we shall all come together to build our own state.

He urged the stakeholders to put aside their differences and embrace peace and love inspite of our diversity.
