Money For The Sales of Nomination Forms Would Come Alongside With Election Guidelines-NASIEC

Nasarawa State Chairman of Independent Electoral Commission, Barrister Ayuba Wandai Usman said the Commission is yet to fix money for nomination forms ahead of October 6, 2021.

 

Wandai maintained that the Commission would announce money for nomination forms for Chairmanship and Councilors positions.

 

“Our intention as a Commission is to release the election guideline probably today, Monday 12, 2021”.

 

“What Hon. Francis Orogu revealed to Journalists that nomination forms for Chairmanship aspirant is N500,000 and N250,000 for Councillorship was his opinion because we are yet to take a decision on the amount for the sales of forms”

 

On the security situation in the State especially Nasarawa South Senatorial district where scores flee their abode due to skirmishes, the Chairman disclosed that stringent measures would be taken to ensure the safe return of all Internally Displaced Persons.

 

“Thank God Council election is still three months ahead, we will come to the bridge before crossing it*Barrister Ayuba Wandai Usman disclosed.

 

It could be recalled that the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in the State, Francis Orogu said the high rate of nomination form would prevent PDP contestants from contesting for elective positions by the aspirants of the opposition political parties.
