The National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Muhammad Kerowa has charged members across the country and entire members of the association worldwide to be sincere to themselves and Nigeria.
Kerowa gave the charges in Jos while inaugurating the newly constituted state executive members of Plateau state chapter at the conference hall of the Jos Central Mosque on Tuesday.
He urged the state executives to be weary of committing acts that will lead them into corruption or fraud in ruining the affairs of the association.
Kerowa noted that “as President Muhammadu Buhari wage war against corruption and fraud, that is how we have wage the fight against corruption and fraud,”
According to him, we reminded you all that just as President Buhari declared his assets, so will the national leadership demand from the state excos to declare theirs.
“You should deceased from extorting any herder, because we will not hesitate in dealing with any one of you that is found committing wrongs in leadership,” Kerowa stressed.
He further frowned at moral decadence among Fulani youths who are now found committing armed robbery, kidnapping and other vices, which he stressed that it was as a result of bad leadership of the past in the association.
Kerowa who tasked the Fulanis across Nigeria to reinvigorate the real moral and cultural values of the Fulani, known for their discipline and peaceful living.
He said MACBAN is the authentic association of the Fulani ethnic nationality in Nigeria, which have the barking and supervision of Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar, the Emir of Kano and others, urging all herders to join the association.
According to him 18 out of the 19 Northern States have their elections concluded.
In his message at the inauguration State Governor Simon Lalong, represented by the deputy chief of Staff Yusuf Gambo Hawaja, Lalong said his administration is ever ready to work with the leadership of MACBAN to ensure peace and progress of the state.
He also called on the executives to be sincere and just in their leadership.Malam Muhammad Nura Abdullahi emerged as the new State chairman while Abdullahi Ardo emerged as Secretary, with some of the executives emerging through consensus by candidate, while others were returned unopposed.
Others are Salihu Jauro vice chairman, Muhammad Yakubu assistant Secretary, Hajiya Hafsat Abubakar is the Woman leader and Hajiya Maimunatu Sa’adu as the deputy Woman leader who are to serve four year consecutive term
