The minister for information, Hon. Labaran MAKU has been described in glowing terms and in many ways as the hope for the realisation of the Nasarawa dream.
This declaration was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by MAKU SUPPORT GROUP at the event of its northern senatorial district zonal conference. The coordinator of the organisation Comrade Bako Ajen, described MAKU ‘as an idea whose time has come ‘and whose manifestation is imminent. “Maku’s candidature inspires a great deal of confidence and is one that has the potential to transform the battered fortunes of Nasarawa state and its people.
The conference was held at Johanz Chalets at Akwanga over the weekend. It had in attendance youths from across the state and beyond. The coordinator said ‘the clamour for Labaran MAKU to contest the governorship of Nasarawa state is unprecedented in the political history of the state. Many speakers at the event took turns to eulogise and shower accolades on the person of the Honorable Minister.
The group unveiled plans to drag the minister into the governorship race in an elaborate event early next month. The coordinator of the group admonished all Nasarawa people to live in peace with each other as that is what Maku’ candidature represents.
