The leadership of the London Boy Movement has paid courtesy visits to two key commissioners in the Nasarawa State Government, conferring on them the position of Ambassadors of the Movement in recognition of their grassroots pedigree and commitment to progressive politics.
The delegation, led by the State Chairman, Hon. Stephen Abraham Narai, and the Director General of London Boy Movement, Hon. Joseph Maiwada, first visited the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Nasarawa State, Justice Barrister Isaac Danladi.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Narai and Hon. Maiwada said the Movement deemed it fit to honour Justice Danladi because of his record as a grassroots and seasoned politician in the state, and for being a long-standing close ally of the Movement’s Principal, the APC Flagbearer in the state, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu.
In his remarks, Justice Danladi expressed appreciation to the exco of the Movement for the gesture.
He described the honour as a dream come true and a platform through which he can work to deliver his childhood friend.
“Senator Wadada is not just a ‘London Boy’ as we fondly called him back in school.
“He is also known as the ‘Link Man’ for his humanitarian gestures. He is a giver, an intelligent personality, and highly connected to consolidate on the good works of His Excellency, Engr. A.A. Sule in the state,” Justice Danladi said.
This was contained in a statement on Tuesday issued by Emeka Monday Okoye,
Publicity Secretary, London Boy Movement.
He further pledged his loyalty to the Movement, saying: “I promise to stand with the London Boy Movement till victory.
“I have always prayed in secret that the mantle falls on him to propel the state to greater heights.”
In the same vein, the team also visited the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata.
The Commissioner was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Otaki.
Alhaji Otaki received the delegation warmly and apologised for the Commissioner’s absence, noting that Hon. Maifata was in Abuja representing the State Governor at an official event.
Speaking on behalf of his boss, the Permanent Secretary assured the Movement of the Commissioner’s total support and sponsorship.
“Senator Wadada is our mandate as well. He is a man who has never lost a battle and is ever ready to serve. We thank the London Boy Movement for this beautiful initiative to strengthen grassroots politics,” Alhaji Otaki stated.
The London Boy Movement reaffirms its commitment to mobilising grassroots support and consolidating progressive governance in Nasarawa State ahead of future political engagements.
The London Boy Movement, a political support group, backing Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election, has been active in inducting figures and assigning patrons in the State.
