A member representing Madagali constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Tsamdu confirmed the arrest of the three insurgents as a result of the reprisal attack earlier launched by the insurgents in Kulbagawa village where five people were reported to have lost their lives.
Hon. Tsamdu said the arrest was possible because of the training of 200 local Hunters who received the training and were recouped to chase out and pursue out the insurgents from their hideout.
“The effort made by our youths yesterday is commendable as report reaching me has it that they have arrested three members of Boko Haram in Gulak. The Local Hunters in Madagali are joining forces with those from Gombi areas to chase them (Boko Haram) out of our own territory,” Tsamdu said
“The locals from Gombi seem to know the terrain and the hideouts of this wicked people, their coming will equally boost the morale of those youths from Madagali and other areas for the fight against the insurgents,” he added.
He praised the agile spirit of the Youths and called on security agencies to join effort with them to bring an end the activities of Boko Haram in the entire North- East.
