Nasarawa state Governor,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has appealed to stakeholders,politicians in the state to bear with the newly sworn in Sole Admnistrators following the lingering economic quagmire. He further said the new crop of Sole Administrators are vulnerable.

“They are coming at a time Local Government in the state were not able to pay workers’ salary. The Governor tasked the eleven (11) Sole Administrators to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties towards the upliftment and development of the state.

Al-Makura commended the former council chairmen for contributing their quota towards the development of the state,the state Governor attributed the appointment of Sole Administrators to handle the affairs of Government for the mean time.

Stating that the expiration of the tenure of elected council chairmen foisted the State Government to constitute Sole Administrators, adding that the vacum compelled the State Government to adopt the “doctrine of neccesity ” so as to revitalise and reinvigorate the third tier of Government.

The Governor charged the Sole Administrators to diverse means of augmenting the lean grant allocation to Local Government,Saying gone are the days some few people siphoned the Internally Generated Revenue,He further cautioned them to avoid lavish lifestyle.

The Sole Administrator of Lafia Local Government Suleiman Wambai who spoke on behalf of the eleven members assured the Governor of their total loyalty in the discharged of their duty.
