LGA Polls: Plateau Labour Party Sells Expression Of Interest, Nomination Forms For N200,000 N150,000

The Labour Party, LP, on Friday, disclosed that the party had begun the sale of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to party members aspiring to contest the 17 Local Government Areas election for Chairmanship and Councillorship seats

According to the Labour Party (LP) Chairperson Mrs Grace Zamfara, the forms cost N200, 000.00 for the Chairmanship seat and N150,000.00 for the Councillorship.

However, aspirants living with disabilities and female aspirants are to pay for the Expression of Interest Form, while the Nomination Form is free for them.

The Councillorship Aspirant of Jenta Apata , Mr Kingsley Nwachukwu said they’re facing numerous challenges and they also need the presence of government in their community, especially the entire ward.

He stated that looking at the economic situation in the country the people of Jenta Apata ward are yearning for better service delivery not for the recent intervention of tarring the main road network the people have been neglected for quite sometimes because of the deplorable stage of the road was there for a very long time and that is not enough.

We need a voice that will tell the government that we have something that needs to be done around Buji to Laranto under Apata ward the people are suffering from water scarcity but inside the bigger pipe, there was a water tank full of water and no one else can access it.

The Coordinator of the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, Mr Eugene Ofoegbu expressed a desire to support the candidacy of Kingsley Nwachukwu as the people’s choice for a better tomorrow.

He says Jenta Apata ward need a pragmatic leader in the person of Kingsley Nwachukwu and we are seeing him as the only voice.

Eugene admonished the people of the ward to come out enmass and participate in the forthcoming LGs elections in Plateau State and vote wisely for candidates of credibility and good character.

The Elder statesman promised to play politics of all-inclusiveness and change the politics of bitterness and division but to continue to promote peaceful coexistence and togetherness.

He said the LP ideology campaign is on security and unity of oneness amongst the diverse ethnic groups in the state.

The Chairman of Labour Party in Jos North Local Government Council,Hon.Bala Ramadan thanked God almighty for the performance of the party in the last election of the rerun in Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency where their candidate emerged victorious at the tribunal.

According to him, about 3 Igbo aspirants are contesting for Councillorship seats in Jos North LGA, so LP is a national party that accommodates all the tribes in Jos North.

Bala urges the electorate to wisely vote for credible persons in the forthcoming LGs and shun money-bags politicians that are only after themselves and family.

He said as the electioneering campaign drum beating up all LP candidates should carefully consider perseverance, and commitment to deploy the party manifestos in canvassing vote for themselves.
