The Plateau State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon Sam Gyang, has disclosed that the party has offered free nomination forms to all female aspirants vying for election to the forthcoming LGs.
He said the party had perfected its political strategies ahead of the council election in the state, as he urged Plateau people to mobilise maximum support for the election of Chairmanship and councillorship seats.
He said that the party has commenced the sale of nomination forms for all aspirants vying for the 17 LGs, and also harped on the need for ADC stakeholders to unite and foster unity within the party.
Sam Gyang, who stated this at Kalwa House in Jos South LGA on Monday, together with hundreds of his supporters, said he was confident he would emerge victorious on account of his impressive performance and level of acceptability among the people.
He, however, urged the people of the state to vote for ADC, stressing that women will get free nomination forms to contest, which is encouraging for the party.
“This will only be possible if we all go out and get our voter cards and mobilise from house-to-house canvassing support for ADC to win.
“To achieve this, our people should go and get their PVCs to be able to deliver massively for the party”, Gyang added.
According to him, one of the major challenges the party in Plateau State faces is securing office accommodation for ADC to function effectively, due to the influx of people joining them.
He admonished the party faithful to ensure that it wins the forthcoming council elections in Plateau State and also take advantage of e-registration to invalidate their membership cards.
