The Executive  Chairman of Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State , Hon.Nanfa  Alhassan Nbin has refuted political blackmail linking administration with renovation of  the old NRC ,SDP,  secretariats as  his part of  scorecard set for commissioning .

Nbin stated this in a telephone interview with our medium at Langtang South LGA over the weekend while debunking speculation coming distractors.

The council chairman expressed his desires to provide meaningful development to the people of Langtang South no matter the level of political cabal blackmailing him.

He said, as the chief security official of the local government ,he would continue to ensure that the people are safe and they can go about their businesses without fear or intimidation. We are partnering with security agencies to safeguard the lives and properties of the citizens  towards ensuring that there is peaceful coexistence amongst the residents of the areas.

Alhassan Nanfa stressed that the council employed the use of  vigilante watch  across the length and breadth of the council in providing adequate security guard where peace would continue to reign.

He disclosed that, under his stewardship the resources deployed for the local government have been channel toward infrastructural development of the areas  especially in the areas of water scarcity in some affected communities.

Hon. Nanfa Alhassan commended Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang intervention in the area road projects in Langtang South LGA,  we witnessing ongoing road construction by the state government  so we are so grateful.

“You recall that Langtang South Local Government is one of the worst hit in the area  of infrastructural deficit,  development where the  people are  drinking water in  the same sources with animals  .

“The governor roads intervention is beginning to yield positive impact in the areas of development because our council is completely disconnected from the national grid and the road from yelwa,Mabudi,Zamko need urgent attention to make it motorable,”he said.

According to Alhassan, Langtang South, Riyom,Kanke,Jos East were the newly created local governments so if someone is linking all my projects to NRC/SDP then that person most be ignorant of the developmental strike recorded within my   shortest time in office.

He pointed out that, as a true democrat he cannot introduce project and later abandon them to who so I’m focus and determined to reposition  the council for better service delivery.

Nanfa Nbin maintained that no amount of political intimidation or blackmail can change his mindset toward people oriented programs and projects that would torch their lives.

1. Education

Understanding that education shapes nations and transforms destinies, we began where impact matters most.

 I. Hundreds of secondary school leavers received support to register for JAMB examinations at no cost , eliminating financial barriers that keep capable students from pursuing higher education.

II. Over three million naira was invested in registering students at the National Teachers’ Institute Mabudi Study Centre, recognizing that equipped teachers multiply their impact across entire classrooms.

III. Few months ago when the Plateau State Undergraduate Scholarships were advertised, we mobilized our young people for the qualifying examinations.

The pride we feel in announcing that two of our sons, Ponsak Bahal and Senan Nancwat, displayed such excellence that they are now preparing to travel for studies abroad cannot be overstated.

Their success belongs to every resident of Langtang South who believes our children deserve opportunities equal to those available anywhere in Nigeria.

IV. Beyond these initiatives, we have maintained consistent support for students in secondary and tertiary institutions, ensuring that financial constraints never force capable students to abandon their education.

2. Security: Protecting Communities, Preventing Exploitation Before our interventions, motorcycle theft had become so prevalent that residents lived in constant anxiety.

 I. We partnered with the Nigerian Forest and Security Guards to train young men from our communities, transforming them into guardians of our villages, particularly in vulnerable border towns.

II. When child trafficking surged, we responded with three electric solar powered motorcycles designed for interception efforts, achieving remarkable success in protecting vulnerable children.

III. We have concluded plans to relocate the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps to its permanent site along Gamakai Road in Mabudi, strengthening our security architecture.

IV. Our advocacy extends beyond prevention to justice, demonstrated by our partnership with the Brekete Radio Family to seek justice for Yaisa Samanja, whose brother attempted to deprive her of rightful inheritance.

V. We have worked tirelessly to restore peace in Ruwan Doka and Tahbol, understanding that security includes resolution of conflicts that tear communities apart.

To every son and daughter who has served as our eyes and ears, we express profound gratitude.

3. Infrastructure: Building the Physical Foundation for Progress Infrastructure development has proceeded strategically.

 I. We constructed eroded roads linking six federal wards at Milefour Dam, reconnecting previously isolated communities.

II. Solar panels installed in Magama, Sabon Gida, Mabudi, Talgwang, Gamakai, and the Secretariat have brought clean, sustainable energy to communities.

III. Drainage system constructed in Sabon Gids now protect homes from flooding.

IV. Motorized boreholes have been drilled in six communities while water reticulation projects proceed in seven others regardless the challenges we have faced in implementing, ensuring access to clean water.

V. The completion of the modern secretariat complex and renovation of legislative chambers provide spaces befitting government functions.

VI. The completion of the modern market complex in Mabudi has created a commercial hub where traders operate in dignity.

VII. Through advocacy, we secured intervention from the Nigerian Communication Commission to boost mobile networks in rural areas, recognizing that connectivity is essential infrastructure.

VIII. The rehabilitation of Nasarawa Bridge restored a critical transportation link.

4.  Agriculture, Revenue, and Economic Development ,

We have prioritized farmers through fertilizer availability and subsidies while empowering women livestock farmers.

Revenue generation has been approached through simplified processes and strategic investments, including vehicles for commercial purposes that boost revenue while providing affordable transportation.

The completed market complex creates sustainable revenue while serving economic needs.

5. Sports, Human Capital, and Community Care

I. Eighty four million naira was distributed to land owners whose properties were used for the Mabudi Mini Stadium, ensuring that public projects do not impoverish individuals.

II. We revamped the hydraform brick moulding machine and trained youths in specialized production for commercialization, creating employment opportunities.

III. Medical support for indigenes facing critical health conditions acknowledges that no resident should face a health catastrophe alone.

He said that in Langtang South LGA we are on second phase of development so we sign this agreement to upgrade the lives of citizens especially our vulnerable communities across the council.

Nbin employed those plotting to create crises in the name of politics to sheath their swords and come together to build our great community where everyone would be happy  .

Our correspondent investigation revealed that the alleged building showcase by some media was misleading of  information .

This medium when further to speak to indigines of Langtang South who confirmed that the embarked upon were true reflection of needs of the  society which experience absence of governance.
