Lalong Doesn’t Give A Listening Ear To The Plight Of Fulani Herdsmen In Plateau, Late Lar Brought Nomadic Education- Saidu Maikano Adamu

The National President Jonde Jam Fulani Youths Association of Nigeria, Alh Saidu Maikano Adamu has commended Late Solomon Daushep Lar for establishing 126 Nomadic Education in Plateau and Nasarawa states but frowned at Governor Simon Lalong administration that it does not have a listening ear to the plight of the Fulani herdsmen but always claim to love them.

 

Addressing journalists at his residence in Mista Ali, Bassa Local Government Council on Tuesday, Alh Adamu said, Late Lar brought nomadic education which kick-started officially in November 1986 after the Yola National Workshop on Fulani education.

 

“We urge the federal government to as a matter of urgency come to the rescue of Nomadic education in Plateau state as the executive Governor Simon Lalong has failed them, the Fulani completely in spite of the overwhelming support given him in his first and second period of electioneering campaign “, he said.

 

According to him, since the administration of Solomon Daushep Lar, the then NPP era the Fulani herdsmen in Plateau state had at least 10 Nomadic schools with lack of teachers and training facilities, we are calling on Lalong to replicate the same gesture in restoring the integrity of Fulani speaking natives.

 

He disclosed that Lar and Prof Jibrin invited them as Fulani leaders and dialogue with them,  gave the sum of N150,000 for them to traveled to Hajj and then the entire exercise was N1,000.00 and he set up committee to find lasting solution to the outbreak of cow diseases which killed many cows by using helicopters to spread chemical that reduced the disease.

 

Alh Maikano Adamu challenged Governor Simon Lalong to stop lying to their leaders in Abuja that he loves them, we consider his political statement as a total lie.

 

They said ,Governor Lalong is claiming that peace has returned to Plateau state and he even claims that the National Livestock is going to be successful in Wase, Kanam LGAs, see we don’t have any single appointment since your administration came on board so don’t join us to fight each other between Muslim and Muslim communities over land grabbing system.

 

“You Lalong want Muslims to kill each other in the two LGAs, please don’t disguise as our lover to destroy our unity in Islam, because you don’t have listening ears, President Muhammadu Buhari brought peace.

 

Lalong was Dariye boy who refused vehemently to impeach him until Mike Dapialong was brought in this shows clearly that the votes we gave him are wasted votes, that can’t bring us happiness, no tribe first settled in Plateau state, we were not recognized first because then we are not farmers.

 

We established the state capital, if we can’t remove the issue of indigene and settlers, we can’t see peace.

 

Jonde Jam Fulani Youths Association of Nigeria under the leadership of Alh Saidu Maikano Adamu is an association formed to cater for the development of Fulani community in Nigeria thereby promoting peace and unity among its members and their neighbours ,conflict resolution through dialogue ,protecting the interest of Fulani in terms of day to day activities ,enlightening the Fulani to engage mostly in western education considering a large number of their children are far left behind in terms of western education.
