Kwandare Airport A Needless Project, Al-Makura Collected N19.2bn As Security Vote In 8 Years With Nothing To Show-Maku

Barely 48 hours to the conduct of 2019 governorship and Houses of Assembly election, the erstwhile Minister overseeing the Ministry of Defence has stated that governor; Umaru Tanko Al-Makura collected N19.2billionn as security vote in 8 years with nothing to show for.

The governorship candidate said the huge amount accrued to the State as security vote went down the drain as insecurity looms.

Labaran Maku described the airport project conceived by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in his country home as a needless project as poverty plunged the State.

“The project was ill conceived with motive to development Kwandare, his community”.

Stating further that Karu Local Government was the suitable location for the citing of Airport project which he affirmed would be an alternative for Abuja International airport.

Maku says insecurity, percentage payment of salary and pension will be the mainstay of his administration if elected into power.

He called on supporters to shun the rumor going round that he stepped down for his younger brother, David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party.
