Keystone bank and friends of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state worried over the comatose of public schools has committed a huge amount of money for the renovation and expansion of the affected schools.

 

 

The benefitted schools are Government Science Secondary School, Lafia and Government Girls Science School, Garaku, the two schools which are in the state of total disrepair are now in good shape.

Is on record that the two schools suffered a serious setback and are in dire needs of classrooms, up-to-date laboratory, library, and Information Communication Technology centers (ICT).

 

Despite the colossal amount of resources released by the last administration vast public schools ranging from public Secondary and primary schools are battling with insufficient classrooms and furniture.

 

It could be recalled that the state governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule perturbed over inadequate furniture has approved the release of N600m for the procurement of seats mostly furniture to public schools in the state.

 

The Commissioner of education while commenting on the comatose of Government College, Lafia said the state government has last month take stock of the structures while effort was in place to fence the school.

“Team of engineers from the ministry of Works recently was in the school to take stock of structures and furniture”.

 

Honorable Fati Sabo called on the affluent you in the state to contributes towards the upliftment of the education sector, saying government alone cannot bear the burden of education.
