Kanam LGA APC Concerned Group Rejects Mohammed Barau, Vows To Vote Hon Wokdung

A group of Concerned All Progressive Congress, APC, supporters from Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau state has rejected candidature of Mohammed Abdlahi Barau as the sole candidate of Kanam.

The protesters stormed the streets and staged a walk against impunity and imposition of candidate for Local Council Election on Friday at Angwan Goje, kanamLGA.

The group accused the State Chairman Latep Dabang of conniving with Pam Dung Gyang to rig and impose an unpopular person which they said it will be vehemently lead to the failure and collapse Governor Simon Bako Lalong in Kanam if urgent step are not taken.

Spokesman of the group, Ahamad S.Garga said; “we want to specifically draw the attention of the Governor to know about the devilish conspiracy of the APC state Chairman, Hon Latep Dabang and the former Deputy Speaker, Rt Yusuf Gagdi of disenfranchising authentic delegates.

It was gathered that list of original delegates with their choice of primaries election for councillorship and Chairmanship resulted in the crisis and that it involved the current Deputy Speaker, Saleh Shehu Yipmong, he added.

The APC spokesman, Garga complained that they people of Kanam LGA don’t want to support Mohammed Abdullahi Barau but vowed to offer unalloyed support to Hon Adamu Wokdung in the forthcoming council election.

They prayed that His Excellency should rescue the peoples’ mandate stolen by chairman Latep Dabang and restore it to the rightful person, Hon Abbas Adamu Wokdung .

They asked Gov. Lalong to check the excesses of the state party chairman and his co travelers now that his political godfather Atiku Abubakar has decamped to the PDP.

Garga warned that failure to rectify this injustice meted to them can be result to fresh consequences, adding that they do not have the capacity to control protest vote from their teeming supporters.
