Kaigama made this disclosure at Our Lady of Apostles, OLA, Hospital, Jos during the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hospital from 1943-2018 and the appeal fund launching of one hundred million naira (100,000,000.00) for an accident and emergency unit on Saturday in Jos.
He lamented over the high rate of poverty in the land where public money end up in private owned account of individuals while the citizens languishes in need of social amenities.
He said; “Nigeria government should diversify the economic and use our common wealth rather than focusing more on physical development but should deploy it to take care of our teeming unemployed youth who are vulnerable, which makes them travel outside the shore of Nigeria to Italy and other countries in search of white-collar jobs where some of them meets their waterloo while crossing the seas.
Kaigama pointed out that Catholic as faith based organization, it has contributed to the development but they are calling the government to encourage the collaboration towards providing better health care delivery to the citizens’ which will ease the plight patients.
The Catholic leader said many people have benefited from the Irish, British church education and medical facilities as great intervention for those seeking remedy to their illness and knowledge in Africa today.
He commended the manager of OLA Hospital for her prudence management of resources and vision of expansion, construction of edifice which is playing a remarkable role to the service of people especially the accident and emergency unit.
Kaigama tasked the health care workers to be emotional, kind hearted caring and show of love to patients yearning for quick health services and also remain as care giver to those in need of attention.
