JUSUN Nationwide Strike Paralyzes Tribunal Sitting In Plateau

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN strike has on Tuesday paralyzed the National Assembly, Federal House of Representative Election Tribunal sitting at the West of Mines over their industrial strike nationwide.

 

The Chairman Plateau State Chapter of the JUSUN, Comrade Philip Longji disclosed that the Union is unbiased in her struggle for the actualization of financial independence so they decided to shut down all courts in Nigeria starting from the supreme down to the least areas court.

 

He stated that the Union ordering them from the National to ensure total compliance that they have no business with election tribunal or commission of inquiry set up by either Federal or states government.

 

Longji emphasized that the reasons for closing down the west of mines court this morning owned to the use of facilities that can be use and those staff of JUSUN who are victims of autonomy.

 

He explained further that the position very clear that facilities would access and make use of since they are product of the judiciary.

 

“We can’t as well listen to any propaganda or political mischief makers linking the strike nation to their selfish agenda, we can’t allow any of them to truncate or jeopardize the Union struggle “, he added.

 

However, it was alleged that the Union are accused, but insisted that they cannot be fighting the government and some people are insinuating another different thing.

 

According to him, both participate are blackmailing the Union, and he warned that they are not taken side but they’re struggling to achieve financial independence for all the JUSUN staff in Nigeria.

 

He pointed out that people should stop blaming and inciting the general public against the JUSUN staff as some of the tribunal judges were left hanging around the west of mines premises awaiting the next action.

 

He maintained that the industrial strike embarked upon by JUSUN staff was backup by session 121 subsection 3 of the constitution Federal republic of Nigeria enshrined.

Speaking to our medium the secretary of the Tribunal, Barr Mu’azu Ibrahim Bagudu said that they decided 90 days stipulated for the Tribunal so there is no way to extend the date.

 

He says , arrangement with the tribunal, petitioners and the respondents to ensure that another place would be allocated to them to continue with their sitting somewhere else.

 

Barr. Nantok Dashuwar urged the federal government to end the JUSUN strike Nationwide which has paralyze the activities within the court .
