Justice Mustapha Ramat Court Is A Father Christmas Court-Embattled PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman

The embattled Caretaker Committee Chairman of the opposition party in Nasarawa State, Francis Orogu has described the presiding Judge of the High Court sitting in Akwanga as a father christmas.

 

The former Chairman of the party stated this while reacting over the judgement passed by Justice Mustapha Ramat during a press conference at his abode in Lafia.

 

Orogu disclosed that the judge acted as a Father Christmas by granting the plaintiff what was not even asked for in the case before him.

 

He said the whole episode in the court was rather a one man drama, adding that the judge would have gone further to declare the plaintiffs and there sponsors as State PDP Caretaker Committee members.

 

“The party fully respect judiciary and all judgements irrespective of where the pendulum swings but we are concern about individual behaviors,we also hope that those whose responsibility is to protect the sanctity and respect of the Judiciary should be focus”.

 

He accused Justice Ramat for lack of focus and diligence in handling sensitive issues in the temple of Justice.

 

“Justice Mustapha Ramat deliberately ignored a clear case of forgery even when the authors of the genuine document swore an affidavit in his own court disowning the purported appeal panel”.

 

The did not only relied upon to grant all reliefs sought by the plaintiffs but also gave judgement on issues that were not before his court,A clear case in reference is the said dissolution of State PDP Caretaker Committee appointed by the National Executive of their four year tenure.

 

Orogu maintained that said issues that have to do with the dissolution of Caretaker Committee is an exclusive reserve of the national body in accordance with the party constitution.

 

And again the Judge is said to have decided to discharge and acquit the authors of the forged document who are presently undergoing criminal investigation by the police in the State.

 

Hon.Orogu said the verdict of the court would not deter him from doing his responsibility, further added that the Judgement was meant to disrupt and disorganized the party.

 

He said the main attempt by the sponsors of the furor is stage managing the crisis in the party

 

“The People’s Democratic Party has decided not to challenged Justice Mustapha Ramat’s Judgement legally but also politically resists any attempt to distract our attention on the right trajectory”.

 

He called on party loyalists to remain focus and to see this period of transiting from one set of party leadership to another which occurs after every four years as a time of total commitment to strengthen the party in the State rather than power grabbing by few individuals.

 

Francis Orogu said the Caretaker Committee is determined to discharge the onerous task of steering the ship of through the turbulent political waters safely and with a very high sense of responsibility too.

 

He described the recent ward and Local Government ward congresses as the most perfect congresses in the history of PDP since inception.
