Journalist, Others Bag Traditional Title In Nasarawa

Alhaji. Abdullahi Shuaibu has been confirmed with a traditional title of Walin Daddere, a community in Obi Local Government Council of Nasarawa State.

 

Shuaibu, a veteran Journalist worked with the Sun newspaper before and was currently with The Republic Newspaper.

 

The traditional ruler of Daddere,Alhaji Balarabe  Saidu in his speech lauded the 24 title holders which include 5 women who said their confirmation was based on merit.

 

His Royal Highness explained that they contributed immensely to the development of Daddere community.

 

“What we are witnessing today is the confirmation of titles to illustrious sons and daughters of Daddere community both from male and female lineage”.

 

Those that bag the traditional title included

In a related development, The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council has congratulated Abdullahi Shaibu of The Republic Newspaper on his conferment as ‘Walin Daddere’.

 

The Union said the conferment of the seasoned  Journalists as Walin Deddere did not come to the Nasarawa State Council of NUJ as a surprise, given his vast experience as a practicing Journalist who has practiced in so many states including Plateau, Kano, Niger and Nasarawa for more than 25 years.

 

“The entire Journalists in the State, therefore, wished the Walin Daddere success in all his future endeavors and prayed God to give him the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to bring his experience to bear towards ensuring peace, unity, and progress of Daddere community and indeed the entire state”.

 

The union also expressed gratitude to Sangarin Daddere for finding him worthy of such conferment and wished him well as he pilots the affairs of Daddere traditional council.

 

The press statement was signed by the State Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Salihu Mohammed Alkali, and Secretary Sunday John.
