Jos North LGA eulogizes Lalong ,Mrs Theresa Azi for developmental strides

Plateau state capital went agog last week as it was celebration galore at Jos North Local Government Area, when the Governor Simon Bako Lalong landed to commission project which litters across the headquarters ready for commissioning

The people thronged the venue as early as 7am in order to have first-hand information and see the Governor face-face, had a hectic time with the state security personnel who were on hand to control the crowd to witness pilot of change mantra in the state. Governor Simon Lalong has commended the Chairman Mrs Theresa Azi, for her developmental strides owning to the dwindling economic situation globally.

He said with the tempo of infrastructural development sustained, peace will finally return in no distant future, be transformed into cosmopolitan settings.

Lalong who was in Jos North on one day working visit also maintained that he has vowed to fulfill  all his campaign promises to the people of Plateau state .

The governor promised citizens of his administration commitment to the transformation of change mantra of APC government.

Speaking before commissioning some projects in Jos North LGA, he however, observed that, before this could be achieved ,the people must be seen to be living in peace and harmony.

According to him, with the cooperation of all and sundry, he would effect and develop the power sector towards revamping ailing industries to produce goods and services to the people.

Mrs. Azi on her appointment promised to revamp the education sector,as according her, the sector had dwindled due to the crisis which rock the council in 2001 .

Mrs Theresa Azi demonstrated in practical terms and had left no one in doubt s to her ability and strong desire to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the council.

Plateau state people have been commended for giving the necessary support for APC government to development to thrive in the state.

Similarly, the state government, under the leadership of governor Simon Bako Lalong ,has been praised for the judicious use of public funds to turn around the state into model and rebuilding Jos main market authority to bring back the lost glory of the state.

The governor who was vividly elated by the projects he commissioned, urged other local governments in the state to emulate the Jos North in its efforts towards making life easy for its people through people oriented programmes like the donation of motorist pumping boreholes in 20 wards ,60 bags of cements ,4 trips of concretes construction of Farin Gada road ,Angwan Jarawa bridge construction linking Uliliba community .

The Management committee Chairman spent Millions to renovate the Jos North Local Government secretariat which was abandoned as home for reptiles with the furnishings of local government Guests Houses in Tudun Wada with total turnaround of another Guest house for befitting accommodation of newly posted corps members.

Basking under the euphoria of successful events, Governor Simon Lalong who couldn’t hide his feelings thanked God and the people of Plateau state for the successful turnout of the event were peace now reign.

The construction of Yan Doya market, winning of governor cup which final between Jos North and Bassa  the team won waiting for another round game ahead.

The administration project executed by the council include training and retraining of staffs prompt payments of workers salary and allowances which maintaining space with change philosophy of present administration in the state.

The Council boss further reechoed her passion of making peace unity of all tribes in Jos North as her greatest philosophy which youth empowerment, engagement of widows and youth on skills acquisition programme and introduction of vocational training to reduce idleness among army of youths.

According to her, in a democratic pursuit, we came with awareness of violence, indignity, disrespect for constituted authorities are rules out to make Jos North tourist heaven and Labour friendly administration.

She assured that every citizen, young and old, male.  And female would be accorded desire of the respect and dignity in the process of this journey saying no discrimination ,her desire of the people reduce youth involving dangerous substances ,drug abuse which the council partner with community empowerment initiative to educate and enlightened them on one week extensive awareness campaign to all the 20 wards .

After the training she provided them with equipment of quantum resonant magnetic analyzers to help dictate drugs related victims for rehabilitation and early management of the drugs substance.

Mrs Azi tutored people of the council especially APC supporters that, the party strength is based on the support and cooperation which it  is enjoying from. People of the Jos North saying democracy means freedom of expression and others as this would amount to disrespect and abuse of democracy if thuggery and violence is allowed to encompass the journey.
