The Supporters of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Jos North Local Government Council chapter have embarked on door to doors campaign to woe votes for Governor Simon Bako Lalong reelection bid on Saturday and also welcome thousands of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as well as KOWA Party, supporters .
The APC stalwarts said they have passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of PMB and Gov. Simon Lalong led administration in building Unity in the state for four years ago.
The defectors and other members of the APC, said they are getting set to deliverer 350,000 votes to Governor Simon Lalong, come this Saturday, through their door to door campaign strategies.
The defectors made their position known at the flagging off, of door – door campaign rally, of APC for Simon Lalong and all APC candidates in Jos North Local Government Area.
The former Plateau North Senatotial candidate of KOWA party, Arch. Salis Muhammad Salis, said he has led more than 10,000 of his supporters across the Six LGA’s to joined the APC, “because we have seen many good works and intention of Governor Simon Lalong and the APC, in the State.”
He called on all the People of the State to vote for Lalong and all other candidates of the APC.
Similarly, the former Bassa/Jos North House of Representatives candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Vitalis Lashema, led thousands of his party members and to joined the APC.
Also the member of the PDP campaign council and national adviser of Atikulate, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, led hundreds others to joined the APC, saying it is the only party that cares about the poor man.
The Door to Door campaign chairman, Hon. Hassan Isa Maimadara, said the campaign strategy is an option to reach out to the door steps of the electorates, ahead of the Governorship and States Assembly elections in the State.
On his part, Commissioner of Transport, Hon. Nazif Ahmad, said: “In Jos North Local Government Area, we have more than 440,000 voters and we want to deliver at least 350,000 votes to our Governor, Simon Bako Lalong.”
Similarly, the former minister of information and communications Hon. Dasuki Nakande, their evaluation of the presidential and national Assembly elections prompted them to embark on the intensive door to door last minutes Campaign .
“Having said so I want appeal to our youths to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the election,” he urged, adding that; “We should Also shun away from decisive politics, because what we are seeing, is the resurgence of religious politics in Plateau State.”
He stressed that, “Plateau State have maintained relative peace in the last four years, I hope that we will continue to maintain it in the next four years and forever and ever.”
The event featured rally across the length and wild of the Local Government Area of Jos North.
