Jigawa To Fumigate Schools Before Resumption-JISEPA

The Jigawa State Environmental And Emergency Protection Agency, JISEPA is planning to call for emergency stakeholders meeting to educate people about the dangers of abusing the environment.

The Acting Managing Director of the Agency Malam Suleiman M Abas said they have placed jingles on radio and TV to educate people to stop dumping refuse inside drainage which always blocks the drainages.

Suleiman said the appropriate measures would soon be applied on defaulters who refused to obey the laws by taking defaulters to mobile court as he said anybody found wanting will face court action because they cannot fold their arms and continue to watch people defaulting orders.

He explained further that during the meeting the director enforcement will enlighten the people during the meeting.

He also added that the state government has directed them to clear dirties in all the schools around the state and fumigate all the schools so as protect the lives of students  and teachers from being infected with any virus since schools were closed for months due to the menace of COVID-19.
