The Jigawa State Commissioner of Land and Housing, Alhaji Sagir Ahmed Musa has that the State is focusing on town planning and building the state.
He added further as he said; “therefore we need to have a befitting city for the integrity of the state, therefore the state master plan has to be maintained.”
He stated this in an interactive session with newsmen on Thursday.
The commissioner said ” our plan is a very robust plan, aimed to beautify all the five Emirates as a befitting cities to meet the national standard.
He maintained that the state is going to have the Jigawa geographic system for the documentation of lands allocated to people.
He said the state government in collaboration with Homes Limited has reached an agreement to build about 8000 housing units in the state, as he said the housing units will be constructed in major cities of the state across the five Emirates councils in the state, all in a bid to provide houses at cheaper price to the people.
In the area of revenue generation, he said the state has generated over N170 million as tax from January to December, according to him, Tax generated are from the payment of Lands and House Registration.
