Jigawa Pays N3, 701,105,345.65 Million As Pension To 2,504 Persons In Jigawa

The Jjigawa state government has paid over N3 billion  to 2,504 people who left service in the state last year  which include state workers and local government workers and also teachers working with local education authority LEA  across the 27 local government areas in the state.

This was disclosed by the executive secretary of the pension board Suleman Adamu Kiyawa in an interview with newsmen in Dutse, suleman said the money spent was for the payment of pension from January last year to December.

Explaining further he said the sum of N170,841,22 was disbursed for the payment of 2,671 persons adding that 7393 person also received N3701105345 million, Adamu charged his staff and all pensioners  in the state to desist from given out gratification to anybody who demand for it.

He urged the beneficiaries to expose anybody who demand gratification from them to assist them to get their pension assuring that it is their duty to be paid if they are entitled for it,  he said whom so ever demands for money from any pensioner and found wanting will be dealt with.

He added that it is part of their responsibility to do the entire necessary thing to ensure that all pensioners receive equal treatment because it is part of their policy to give equal treatment to all pensioners.

He also said it is their duty to checkmate  who ever collect gratification, as he said that Pension has no any office beside the pension head quarter in the state, he said who ever said give him money to assist you and collect your money you should please informed the pension office for necessary action.
