Jigawa Immigration Arrest 25 Old Man For Alleged Impersonation

The Jigawa State Immigration Command has arrested a 25-year-old fraudster in Hadejia, who tried to dupe the chairman of Birniwa Local Government Area
The suspect Muhammed Suleiman Babaji Of Bayi Quarters In Hadejia city was arrested claiming he is a younger brother to the Immigration Controller General Muhammed Babandede.
He told the chairman that he was instructed by Babandede to come and collect some applications from the chairman for NIS recruitments, as he said that the applications must reach the CG latest this Wednesday.
The suspect was trapped by the chairman of Birniwa Local Government after which he demanded money from the chairman to book a flight back to Abuja and also for the submission of the requested applications for NIS recruitment.
It was after the conversation that the chairman called the CG and informed him of the situation, where he said he was not the one that he ordered his men at the Jigawa command to arrest the suspect.
Babandede was very shocked about the incident as he charged the officials of the Nigerian immigration to apprehend any scammer at any level.
The controller of the command Baffa Aliyu said after their investigation they will hand the suspect over to the Jigawa police command for further investigation, even as he said that the suspect has duped many people including the Emirate Secretary.
He appealed to journalists to expose the suspect by putting his face on newspaper pages and TV for others to learn lessons.
The suspect while confessing said he has served jail term for a similar case when defrauded the member representing Kaugama Malam Madori Federal Constituency.
