Jigawa Govt Pays  N719 Million Scholarship AllowancesTo Students

Jigawa state government has paid over 719 million Naira as scholarship allowances to students studying in the country and abroad this financial year.

 

The acting executive secretary of the state scholarship board Alhaji Kamilu Ado Ringim made this known while narrating the 2020 achievements of the board.

 

 

He said out of the amount N477 million was paid to students studying abroad while N242 million was spent on student studying in the country.

 

 

Alhaji Kamilu Ado said the board has paid scholarship allowances to new and old students of the 2016/2017 academic session.

 

 

He said over eleven million Naira was released by the state government to the board for the payment of the registration fee to 22 law students.

 

 

The Executive secretary said the board will commence the Interview for the 2017/2018 academic session with students of College of Education Gumel and College of Education and Legal studies Ringim next week.

 

 

He commended the state commissioner for Education Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo for the support and cooperation given to the board at all times.
