Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, his Deputy Umar Namadi as well as other top government functionaries had been vaccinated against the Covid-19.pandemic
The Governor along with his deputy and some other top government officials were vaccinated in the government house Thursday, Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
Earlier, Before receiving the Vaccine, the Governor had inspected the vaccines along with other top government officials at the premises of the government house, Dutse by 10 am.
Governor Badaru while speaking to journalists shortly after receiving the first consignment of the vaccines allocated to the state by the federal government, gives more highlights on how the vaccination exercise would reach all people in the state starting with the front-line medical staff.
“Security agents, leaders in our societies, government officials, and all essential service workers in the state would be among the first category to be vaccinated to prevent and protect them from being infected,” says Badaru.
According to him, this development has come as a remedy to the deadly monster at the right time which held the entire world to ransom.
Badaru urged the citizens of the state to always paid greater attention to advice always given to them by health experts regarding the covid19.
As the Jigawa state government received its first delivery of 70,000 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines this Thursday, targeted at vaccinating about 35,000 residents of the state, it’s therefore planned that about 51.5 citizens of Jigawa would also be vaccinated before the end of 2021 while the reaming general public would be vaccinated from now on to 2022.
