The Jigawa State Assembly has suspended two of its members accused of financial scandal.
The chairman committee on information Aminu Zakari Tsubut who is the member representing Gwiwa local government confirmed the suspension.
He said the two suspended members include the member representing Ringim constituency, Malam Aminu Sule Sankara and that of Gumel local government Malam Sani Isya Gumel who was accused of trying to confiscate documents from the ministry of finance to stop investigation over the allegations level against them over financial scandal during their leadership sometime around 2015 to 2017.
It was gathered that the House decided to suspend the two members from the House to make the investigation easy for the committee to carry its investigation.
The member representing Gumel Sani Isya Gumel when asked about the issue said; “I am not aware of any report and I have no time to say anything until the committee submits their report, it is after they filed the report to the House that I will have something to say.
