Iya  Hauwa Foundation Donate Teaching Materials To Schools In Gawa

A non-profit organization, Iya Hauwa Foundation has launched the distribution of teaching and learning materials to four primary schools in Birnin kudu local government area, as part of its cooperate social responsibilities.

Speaking during the distribution exercise held at Zadau Nomadic Primary School, the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Hajia Hauwa Umar Birniwa , said the gesture was meant to complement the government’s effort in providing quality education to citizens.

According to Hauwa Birniwa the benefitting schools include Yakubu Pilot, Zarenawa, Zadau Nomadic and Kullumi primary schools, called on Headmasters and School-Based Management Committees to ensure judicious use of the distributed items.

The Founder/CEO of the NGO explained that, the items launched and distributed include Magic and Whiteboards, Pencil and Sharpener, Classroom Register, Exercise and Drawing Books as well as Maps.

In his remark, Representative of Universal Education Commission Alhaji Mansur Sadiq, reaffirmed continued partnership with Iya Hauwa Foundation for the development of educational activities in the state.

Also speaking, Representative of the Local Education Authority, Malam Umar Aliyu, stated that this is not the first time the Foundation brought donations to the area and pledged even distribution of the materials to the benefiting schools.

Speaking on behalf of the benefitting schools, the Headmistress Yakubu Pilot Primary School Birnin Kudu , Malama Jimmai Bala, said the impact of public-private partnership in the education sector cannot be overemphasized and commended Iya Hauwa Foundation for the kind gesture and called others to emulate the same.
