It A Big Privilege To Serve IDPs-Catholic Bishop By Tom Garba, Yola
The Catholic Bishop of Yola Dioceses, Dr Stephen Dame Mamza said he counts it a big privilege to have the opportunity of serving the internally displaced persons, IDPs in the Catholic camp in Yola for the past seven months.
The Bishop said this on a farewell distribution of relief materials that comprises food items and transport money to the IDPs, as a good number of them have left the Catholic camp to their various homes of origin as a result of the Nigerian army recapture of their towns and villages which has been under the control of Boko Haram.
The clergy appreciates the Catholic organisation, NEMA, donor agencies home and abroad and well meaning Nigerians for given over 500 million naira in taken care of the physical needs of more than thousands IDPs in the Yola catholic camp.
Bishop Mamza appeal to government of the state to do anything possible to proffer a solution in bringing back the IDPs in Cameroon and Niger and those in other neighbouring country make it a point of duty to share food stuff, money and toiletries worth millions of Naira after each two weeks
