Infectious Diseases Bill: Gbajabiamila, His Family ,NASS Members Should Test The Vaccination – Northern Group
The members of Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians ( CNNC) has asked the speaker of House of Representatives Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila,his family members and all the members of the lower chambers of the house to take the vaccination first before other Nigerians will follow in 2023.
The National Youth President of CNNC Mr. Daniel Kadzai,in a statement issued yesterday in Yola and made available to our correspondent said that the speaker and the other two members that sponsor the bill are not only worse than Judas that betrayed Jesus Christ,but that they want to turned Nigerians into guinea pigs and testing ground for their foreign sponsors .
The group query that the timing of the bill was not only suspicious,but that it is an attempt to introduced new rules in the middle of the game.
” The controversial bill has many sections that violate the privacy of Nigerian people.The bill takes away the confidentiality owed patients by their doctors “, he said.
He said that for Nigerians to believe in the sincerity of the bill the speaker, his family and all members of the House of Representatives should submit themselves first for the vaccination before other people can follow.
“Leadership by example means the leaders should practice what they are preaching to the people, so submitting themselves first will prove that they mean well for Nigerians “, he said.
He further added that the bill is to amend the quarantine Act of 1926, which did not accommodate infectious diseases like COVID-19, but that action of House of Representatives members negate the laws of the land and sacrifice the people’s future.
The group asserted further that if the National Assembly wants to show leadership by example, they and their family should take the vaccine first in the full glare of the media, with representatives of the Civil Society Organisations in place as well as President of the Nigeria Medical Association and other executives.
