INEC Declare APC Primary Election For Jos North/Bassa Inconclusive As Abbey Aku, Suleiman Kwande Score 344 Votes Each

The  All Progressive Congress,( APC), primary election conducted on Tuesday, has been declared inconclusive by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, after the two strongest contestants Hon. Abbey Joseph Aku and Hon.Suleiman Kwande both scored 334 votes each  .

The Chairman Electoral Panel for the APC primary in Plateau State, Rt.Hon. Habu Sajo told the delegates that the exercise was inconclusive because two candidates scored the same results and based on the INEC guidelines,  they would be communicated by the headquarters on the next action.

The Election ended in a deadlock as Hon . Abbey Aku scores 334 and Suleiman Kwande scored 334, Hon. Abbey Aku earlier was declared the winner of the just-concluded Congress for the Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency bye-election with 366 votes to 340 votes to beat his closest contestant Hon. Suleiman Kwande.

The keenly contested primary was between Hon.Suleiman Kwande ,Hon Lumumba Adah Adeh ,Dr Adamu Aliyu ,Hon Abbey Aku at the Lamonde Hotel .

Hon Abbey said that there are some of the results cast in his favour that is missing in Bassa that was not added by the electoral umpire.

He appealed to the INEC to re-add the remaining 26 votes which were not added to the main results given his score at 334 instances of 366 votes which he alleged.

Hon Suleiman Kwande rejected the outcome of the Congress APC primary saying is unacceptable to him and that it is full of bias.

According to him, he has been receiving pressure to step down for the governor prefer candidate   Hon.Abbey Aku.

Kwande explained further as a founder of the APC Plateau state he expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome that the whole exercise is undemocratic and lacks internal democracy.
