IMSU Holds 28th Matriculation Ceremony For 2019/2020

The Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri, Imo State, under the headship of the Vice Chancellor, Prof.Mrs.Victoria Adaobi Obasi, MNAE, FCON, was on Wed.5th Feb.2020,successfully held the institution’s 28th matriculation ceremony.

 

It was gathered that the university  officially matriculated (5000) newly admitted persons into the varsity for the 2019/2020 academic session.

In her address at the occasion,the IMSU VC, Prof.V.A.Obasi, expressed delight for the breakthroughs so far recorded by the newly admitted students.

 

The VC while speaking, advised the beneficiaries into IMSU to take their studies very serious, even as she charged them not to engage themselves into any social vices.

 

She pointed out that any student caught in exam malpractice,indecent dressing, cultism and all evil character must be expelled from the university without any delay.

 

In his words, the VC therefore told the matriculating students that they came into the varsity at the right time mostly now that the commissioning of the school’s female hostels which is currently operational and functional.

 

Similarly,Prof.Obasi, disclosed that the varsity management have recently commissioned the Faculty of Humanities Complex,Faculty of Social Science Complex and Faculty of Education Complex, as they virtually ready for commissioning.

 

She moreso noted that the Igbo language has been introduced in IMSU officially as the primary maker of identifying people, even as the VC made known that the university is also about to mount the Faculty of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, which according to the VC is believe will be enormous benefit to the timing Science Students.
