Imo YPP Guber Candidate, Okorie Blows Hot, Says He Can Never Give Anybody A Dime For Vote

The Imo State Young Progressive Party,YPP,Guber Candidate for the 2019 general polls,Dr.Linus Okorie,on Sunday,Dec.23rd 2018 in Owerri,shortly after the official unveiling ceremony of his Running Mate,Hon.Ugochukwu Aguguam,who would be his Deputy as Governor,if elected in 2019,has expressed satisfaction to be choose credible man like Ugo.

Mr.Okorie,in a swift media chat with newsmen described his Running Mate as perfect match who would assist him make the State “A World Class Imo” with YPP,come 2019.

The motivational-leadership educator,Okorie while speaking enjoined Imolites to shun money bags politicians and cast their votes to men of integrity like him as leaders who have the interest of the masses at heart to offer quality leadership and good governance where poverty and hunger would be a history.

He charged electorates ahead of the elections in the country in general and in Imo in particular to vote only the most tested,trusted and mentally capable to rule as leaders.

He accused career political merchants for turning a lot of people into beggars.

 ” In past,the our people are hard working,they do not vote because of money,rather they according to their conscience,but nowadays,they do not want to know or care about who is coming to rule them,so long as money is given. And that was why the people are still in bondage. Until we begin to think,reason and act like those in the  UK, US,and the Europeans who always boycotts the money bags and vote for credibility of the individual and not political party.

Ndi-Igbo were not known as beggars but politicians have forced them to be”,he frowned.

“In Imo State,come 2019,I will never ever give anybody a dime to vote or support my aspiration,my vision,my political ambition to help Imolites. You can just imagine, I just left pretty wife,my beautiful children and abandoned all I was doing in Abuja,America and Europe to make everyone rich as Governor”,said Linus.

“Many people have rolled out their collective support for Imo YPP just because of my credibility. I have all it takes to led Imo State to the promise land in 2019.  I am happy to be part of the decision makers in the state. I am amongst the first-five party candidates for the next year’s elections. I am going to be sworn-in as Gov.Rochas Okorocha’s successor,come May 29th 2019. Politicians have caused more harm than good to the masses. Now is the time to vote out bad leadership and vote into power God fearing people and I am the best amongst all those contesting for Governor. I am coming to transform lives. Whether anybody likes it or not I am going to be Governor. Our Campaign Council has been officially inaugurated to deliver. I am very exceptional with strong character to achieve greatness to Imolites. As a strategist,I want to win election. I earn real money and I am not a money bag politician. I will embark on door to door grassroots campaign. Imo only have poverty of the mind,let’s say no to their money. I have come to help Imolites. I will not give anybody money to win my election. I did not a dime during out party primaries but I won. I have obviously come to end poverty and to promote wealth creation. We have Prof.Kingsley Moghalo as our Presidential Candidate for 2019. He does not have money also to throw away like me. People should stop running for election with their own money”,he submitted.

Adding his voice,the Deputy Governorship Candidate of Imo YPP,Hon.Ugo Aguguam,expressed delight to be selected as a running mate to Dr.Linus which described as a miracle.

“Let me kindly appreciate my principal,Dr.Okorie and to all the members of Imo YPP. I am ever ready to work to effect a positive change”,he stated.

Hon.Aguguam,who spoke on the charter of equity or zoning formula in Imo State,said the issue of zoning is unconstitutional and does not bring development and good governance.

 He reiterated that zoning is not for the interest of the people.

Aguguam alleged that all the former Imo Governors were unable to develop their own immediate zone. He cited Chief Achike Udenwa,from Orlu zone,Dr.Ikedi Ohakim,from Okigwe zone and the outgoing Imo Governor,Chief Rochas Okorocha were not able to attract development to their zones,hence,he restated that the issue of zoning should be forgotten.

“If someone from Sudan,Jamaica or Egypt can offer and make Nigeria and Imo State better,let him be allowed to win and rule”,he suggested.

“Imo YPP are very hungry for positive change in the state,come 2019. We have all it takes to deliver Imo State from the hands of mediocrities”,he maintained.

He said power is taken and not given.
