A very known, respected and renowned Scientist and Inventor, Engr.Dr.Ezekiel Izuogu, has decried the attitude of the chief of staff Imo state government Hon. Chris Okewulonu to frustrate his appointment with American government over patent involving 139 countries in the world.
The Ideato North-born-elder-statesman also alleged that the government of Emeka Ihedioha is doing everything to frustrate him and cancel his trip with five professors to America .
According to him, the Governor said he will give order for the release of my balance of N10 million owed by the state government to enable me process my traveling documents before he left for Russia last month stressing that chief of staff to Governor have since refused to attend to him or pick his call.
“The State Government of Ihedioha is doing everything to cancel my trip with five professors to America; they kept me in Owerri for seven days just to pay the #10million balance of money owed me for nine years by Imo state government.
The payment was approved by a PDP Governor Ikedi Ohakim, out of the N30 million Gov. Rochas Okorocha paid N20million but said he didn’t have cash to pay the balance even against the direction of the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibanjo because the EFCC withheld Imo state money.
“What wrong have I done apart from inventing the only perpetual running machine in the world? President Barrack Obama gave two billion dollars to U.S scientist to build this machine, they spent the money but could not build it now your brother has built it from poverty and frustration and the state government of Ihedioha is doing everything to frustrate me.
“Is it a crime for not being in the same party your government? As an inventor I deserve to be supported by my state government, instead of doing that you are withholding money which the Court has ruled in my favour,yet Governor Ihedioha must have promised industries and development to the poor people of Imo state.
Imo people should know how you will develop the state by suppressing invention from the citizens while you visit Russia to borrow development, he said.
Every effort made via calls and text messages to get the reaction of the chief of staff proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
