Imo Speakership Position: PDP Woos AA Member Elect For Obowo State

The members, supporters and political admirers of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Obowo LGA of Imo State, last Sunday, March 31th 2019, at Amuzi  the country home of one the Party Leaders, Prince Chima Ken Anyanwu, successful held political get together they tagged as ” 2019 Victory Party for Imo PDP Obowo/Imo Gov Elect, Rt. Hon.Emeka Ihedioha”.

 

The gathering which attracted so many political juggernauts from across party affiliations witnessed so many notable sons and daughters of Obowo LGA and other friends, well-wishers from Mbaise Nation and many others from within 27 LGA’s of the state.

 

The Chief Host of the Obowo victory bash, Prince Ken Anyanwu, while speaking expressed delight for the political gathering courtesy of PDP victory celebration after the 2019 Guber polls.

 

Prince Anyanwu, therefore, appealed to the people of Obowo to remain steadfast with PDP and ensure they always work in synergy with the Imo Gov.Elect, Ihedioha, even as he revealed his optimism that the “Rebuild Mission Administration” of Ihedioha would favour the people of Obowo.

 

Prince Anyanwu, however, called on the leadership of PDP in Obowo to endeavor to accommodate new members who have interest and passion to join.

 

The Apex Leader of Imo PDP in Obowo, Hon, Sir.Barr.Chris Okewulonu,(Ebekwudike) said “regardless of political party afflictions. We have gathered to celebrate, also to thank God and thank the entire people of Obowo LGA who jointly contributed to the victory of the Imo GovElect.Ihedioha and all the candidates of PDP in the state”.

 

Okewulonu noted, “we are thanking all the voters in Obowo not only the members of PDP for their electioneering support during the last general polls”.

 

He assured them that all their confidence bestowed of Ihedioha cannot be defeated.

 

“I know Ihedioha as a man of honour,he is going to put smiles on the faces of Imo people and Obowo people. As a Technical Adviser to Ihedioha Campaign, I will fight for the development of Obowo. All the campaign promises made by Ihedioha must be fulfilled.

His govt.will help the people of Obowo, because of his love and closeness.

We are progressively riding to work on one page and PDP has come to stay in Obowo”, he submitted.

 

“I am urging all the Wards Chairmen of PDP to set up a Committee for Registration of members who would oversee that anybody or group of persons that have the interest to join the party are recognized and allowed as such would open the doors of PDP to welcome and receive anybody who wants to join PDP. We are running all-inclusive govt.”,he disclosed.

 

Meanwhile, the re-elected Imo House of Assembly member for Obowo, under the Action Alliance, AA, Hon.Barr.Kennedy Ibe, who was obviously seen amidst of the PDP victory party, said he was duly invited to grace the event as the Constituency Lawmaker for Obowo people not for the sake of the political party.

 

The Obowo State lawmaker, Ibe, while addressing the crowd (PDP supporters), expressed gratitude and satisfaction for his re-election in the last State House of Assembly polls held in Obowo, and promised to remain a strong voice.

 

“Remember the people of Obowo can never be separated by any political party. I only play a politics of all-inclusive system”, Hon. Ibe, maintained.

 

Also, a very notable son of Obowo, Prince Joshua Onyemauche, aka Power, thanked the voters in the land of Obowo for voting for PDP and charged them to remain intact with PDP. He told his people that the govt. of Ihedioha shall be of good benefits to the ordinary man in the rural areas.

 

Adding his voice, another prominent son of Mbaise nation, Hon.Barr.Chidi Ojinere,(Operation No Ulo-Akirika), who is a friend of Obowo people from Mbaise, expressed satisfaction with the height of unity, focus and political cooperation maintained by PDP in Obowo.

 

He described the victory of Ihedioha and PDP in Imo State as a mark of liberation, even as he expressed optimism that Imo with the Gov.Elect shall be rebuilt for the progress and upliftment of the people.

 

Barr. Ojinere further called on PDP faithful(s) never to relent in their styles of politics, which he described as a politics of progress and prosperity.

 

The PDP Chairman of Obowo LGA, Chief Emma Anyanwu, thanked the host for bringing the people of Obowo together after the whole tussle during the last elections.

 

He more thanked PDP in the area for delivering all their candidates especially the GovElect.

 

The PDP LGA Chairman, Anyanwu, therefore called on those elected into active leadership positions to leave to positive expectations, as so many people are waiting to ripe from the dividends of democracy.
