Imolites Welcomes New Imo Assembly Speaker, Rt.Hon.Chiji Collins, From Isiala Mbano

Legitimate jubilation here and there,up and down in Imo State as the member representing,Isiala Mbano State Constituency,Hon.Chiji Collins,was on Thursday,June 13th 2019,officially been elected unopposed as the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly,of the 9th House of Assembly,while Hon.Barr.Okechukwu Onyekanma,was also selected/elected as the Deputy Speaker.

Rt.Hon.Onyekanma,is the member representing Mbaitoli State Constituency.

 

Rt.Hon.Chiji Collins,was however nominated for speakership by the State House of Assembly member for Ehime Mbano,Hon.Lawman Duruji,of the Action Alliance,AA,and duely seconded by the member representing Obowo State Constituency,Hon.Kennedy Ibeh,of the Action Alliance,AA,also.

 

Recalled that Hon.Collins Chiji was elected under the All Progressive Grand Alliance,APGA,during the 2019 general elections and he defected to the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP,just last weekend so as to enable him to be contest for the speakership position,which has been accomplished.

 

Meanwhile,the 9th House of the Imo State House of Assembly was on Thursday,June 13th 2019,officially inaugurated by His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha,who was ably represented by the Imo State Deputy Governor,Rt.Hon.Engr.Gerald Irona,whereas the Imo Governor,Hon.Emeka Ihedioha,was very busy as he performed his official ritual on the inauguration of the Attorney General,Chief Azuoma Ndukwe Nnawuchi,SAN,from Owerri Municipal Council Area of Imo State.

 

There was a very massive jubilation at the IMHA complex as uncountable crowd from across the 27 LGA of the State trooped out enmass in solidarity chanting all forms of victory song in  celebration of the new Imo under Gov.Emeka Ihedioha.
