As part of his continuous efforts to ensuring the restoration of peace, unity and progress amongst members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers,NURTW, operating at the Naze Timber/Allied Market in Owerri North LGA, Imo State, the authority of the union led by the State Chairman, Hon.Comr. Sam Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia) accompanied his entourage was on Wednesday, April 6th 2022, paid reconciliation visit to men of wheel operating at the market.
On his visit, Imo NURTW, Hon.Udeh, while addressing some cross of the unionists, assured all the drivers at Naze Timber Motor Park of effective leadership and cordial relationship, even as he expressively calls for unity, peace amongst members for their individual development and progress.
Udeh, who spoke on the drivers at Naze Motor Park, harped on the urgent needs to ensure the collective recovery and restoration what members of the union at the market labeled as failed leadership discourtesy of their current administration at the market place.
The Imo NURTW State Chairman, Comr. Udeh, in his words of authority, hinted that he is passionate and poised to ensure tranquility, security of lives and properties of members of the union in Imo, added that the case of the drivers at Naze Timber Motor Park can never be allowed to over looked.
Amb.Udeh, therefore assured them of urgent restoration of peace, unity.
He moreso moved motion to dissolve union and driver’s leadership at the Motor Park as initiated by majority of the members of the union, but warned against alleged impunity and rascality fingered at the present Committee Executive Members who were expressively accused of failed leadership by so many drivers who lended their respective voices during the peace tour.
“I formed the present Caretaker Committee Members of the Imo NURTW at Naze which includes:”Comr.Chief Ejike Ubochi, Chief Gregory Udogwu, Comr.Ikenna, Mr.Kelechi Azuike (Shegu) Abba Bukari, and Mr.Peacemaker, but they have all failed”, Udeh revealed.
Some aggrieved Naze Park NURTW Committee Executive Members who responded to questions on peace, said they have accepted to embrace peace, even as stated that they are ready and willing to remain loyal, committed to the growth of the union.
Making their separate opinions against the supposed failed leadership known, so many warring members of the union frowned and accused lack of unity and peace as the major factors mitigating their growths.
Those who made their bittered statements against the obvious failed leadership known includes:” Comr.Nnaemeka Anaele, Comr.Innocent Obialusi, (Ex-Commodore), Comr.Uche Obilor (Mufus), Elder Akatanze Ihe, and Comr.Friday Okechukwu Chidubem.
Others who condemned the leadership incompetence of their current administration are:”Comr. Romanus Udemba, Mr.Venatus Obioha, Chief Godfrey Obasi, Comr.Pius Amaefule (Okwuele) and Comr.Joseph Uzokwu (Amatex) amongst others to many mention.
Meanwhile, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Udeh, in his parting words, cited the Holy Bible from the book of Psalms 130:1 and Job 1:6-7, but disclosed that the union under his mandate shall in no distant time ensure the dissolution of the alleged failed leadership at Naze Motor Park, if they default as leaders of the union at the Naze Park.
