Some political gladiators of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA,from across the country under the aegis of APGA Stakeholders including the some members of the party’s National Working Committee mostly from Anambra,Delta and Rivers States, yesterday,Thursday,May 9th 2019 stormed Owerri the capital of Imo State on a solidarity visit to the embattled Imo APGA State Party Chairman,Barr.Peter Ezeobi,on his alleged suspension by the National Party Chairman,Chief Victor Oye,whom they (Stakeholders) during the visit passed a vote of no confidence on him and thereafter also passed a vote of confidence of the Imo APGA Chairman,Ezeobi, described his suspension as illegal, null and void.

“I did not commit any sin rather I refused to sign a document presented to me by the National Party Chairman. Chief Oye has grudges against me that was the reason he used some disgruntled elements who are not members of the party against my position and they embarked on a purported suspension which can not stand, because I was duely elected during a congress. Oye and his cohorts at the National ganged up against the wishes of Imolites. He is holding over N600m from Imo sons and daughters from APGA. He only gave us in Imo State the sum of N20m. He must refund the money to Imo people under APGA”,Ezeobi revealed.

“Those who allegedly suspended me where not members of APGA because they have suspended long ago and as such they have not constitutional right and backup to suspend me. I was elected constitutional”,Barr.Peter noted.

” I want to use this opportunity to condemn the action of some unlawful party members and leaders who sent thugs for the destruction of my office properties. Some of my own valuables are still in the office.

One of the Spokes men of the Stakeholders,Hon.Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, who is also the former National Youth Leader of APGA,expressed worry over the suspension of Ezeobi which he described as illegal.

Chukwunyere said ” Oye must not come back to the party from the back door”.

“We are using this opportunity to pass vote of no confidence on him. We have nothing to do with him. Ezeobi has very well in the upliftment of the party in Imo State. He made the party very acceptable to Imolites. And we are here for him and we have jointly as stakeholders passed vote of confidence on him”,Hon.Ikechukwu submitted.

Also adding his voice,a member of APGA BOT,Dr.Barr.Mike Adams, said ” we are here in Imo on a solidarity visit to Ezeobi. We have dissociated ourselves from the purported leadership of Chief Oye and suspension of Ezeobi”.

Barr.Adams described APGA as a National Party that no one can singlehandedly sack a duely elected congree State Party Chairman.

“Ezeobi remains the authentic the Imo State APGA Chairman. I am speaking based on the party constitution. The NWC has 16 functionaries whereas the NEC has only about 6 functionaries. The NEC shall look into everything”Barr.Adams submitted.

Stakeholders at the solidarity visit includes:Hon.Engr.Dr.Ikenna Ofordire,Hon.Barr.Mrs.Sylvia Iwejuo and so many members of the APGA Stakeholders.
