Imo APGA Holds Successful Congress, Elects New Executives

The political leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA,Imo State Chapter, on Thursday May 23rd 2019 in Owerri,the Capital City of Imo State, successfully held and concluded the 2019 State Party Congress as new leaders emerged as members of the State Executive Members amidst jubilation.

 

The epoch making State Party Congress attracted leaders of the party from across the 27 LGA’s of the State amongs whom includes party delegates who voted various contestants for different positions in the party.

 

Amongst those elected as leaders (executives) of the party includes: Prince Dr.Henry Uzor Okafor,who was duely elected as the Imo APGA State Party Chairman, whereas Hon.Barr.Emma Nwosu,was also elected as the Imo State Organizing Secretary of APGA,alongside others also elected as members of the State Executives.

 

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the exercise, the newly elected State Organising Secretary Barr.Emma Nwosu, expressively thanked all the members of Imo APGA for their support in ensuring the huge success of the whole congress exercise that brought in Hon.Prince Dr.Henry Okafor as the newly elected Imo APGA State Party Chairman and all the members of the State Working Committee,SWC.

 

Barr.Nwosu also commended the leadership of the party from the National to the State levels for giving them ( newly elected) the opportunity to serve even as he promised that Imo APGA under the watch of Dr.Okafor and all the members of the State Executives shall ensure the growth,peace,unity and progress of the party.

 

The Organizing Secretary,Nwosu,while speaking,called on all who contested but did not succeed and all those members of Imo APGA who join hands to rebuild the party.

 

He also appreciated the moral and financial support of the 2019 Imo Guber Candidate,Sen.Ifeanyi Araraume,even as he expressed hopeful to reclaim the guber mandate through the court in no distance time.

 

Barr.Nwosu therefore appealed to all and sundry in Imo State who are supporters,fans,lovers and members of APGA to remain steadfast and committed to the party,maintained that APGA shall recover all that was lost in the state in terms of leadership and governance of Imo State.

 

Recalled that the newly elected Imo APGA State Party Chairman,Prince Henry Okafor,was the 2019 APGA candidate for Ohaji,Egbema,Oguta/Oru-West Federal House of Representative during the last general elections.
