Group of political moguls in Imo State under the auspices of “Imo Restoration Coalition Group-in-APC”,Imo State Chapter, ably led by the Converner, Chief Dr.T.O.E.Ekechi,at his Imerienwe country home in Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State,was on last Wednesday,March 13th 2019,with almost all the members of the group, jointly celebrated the ousting of Gov.Rochas Okorocha as a result of the last Imo Governorship election exercise that brought the Imo PDP Guber Candidate,Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha as the Governor-elect by INEC.
In a communique signed and released by all the members of the group,reads:” It’s common knowledge that the outgoing Imo Governor,Rochas Okorocha,in his second tenure,clearly caught the image of a chameleon. He was no.longer the humble,unassuming and listening populist that Imolites gallantly railroaded to government house through the elections of May 7th 2011. Sadly,Okorocha gradually but steadily,metamorphosed from a ” Peoples Governor” to a “Tragic Hero”. It was pathetic. In fact,an academia described Okorocha’s rapid decline from the shining height of glory to the despicable dustbin of infamity as “a beautiful sore”.
Diligently and dutifully,some of us who were close to him against most of his anti-people’s policies and openly counseled him against the syndrome of his self-exaggerated opinion of his popularity. But like a stubborn tsetse,he could only hear the voice of his even greedier,unforgiving and more ambitious spouse and therefore eventually ended in the grave along with the coffin”.
“Iberiberism as a form of Narcissism,a complex maniacal syndrome that manifests in the negotiation of Ohashierism while promoting Ofushierism.Who say men no dey,men dey”,they boasted.
Those who signed the communique includes:”the Converner,Dr.Ekechi,Barr.Kingsley Ononuju,Rt.Hon.Donatus Ozoemena, Hon.Ichie Best Mbanaso,Hon.Alan B.Onyemechi,Hon.Emeka Amachi,Engr.Kerian Amadi,Sir.Peter Nnabuife,High Chief Bartholomew Ogbuagu,Hon.E.C.Igbojekwe,Barr.Fintan IIika,Mr.Tony Odirichukwu,High Chief Val Okere,Dr.Stanley Ekezie,Hon.Emeka Duru,High Chief Ugoha G.Ibekwe,Engr.R.C.Ezenwa and High Chief Pashcal Esimekara,Hon.Deacon Nwachukwu,Hon.Obinna Onyeocha,Hon.Ben Anugwara and Hon.Maxwell Nwolieji”.
The group therefore charged Gov.Rochas Okorocha and Hon.Uche Nwosu not to challenge Ihedioha’s victory as Governor in court.
