Less than 21 days to the expiration of the three-year tenure of elected Local Government Chairmen and Councilors, The scribe to Doma Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, Comrade Ibrahim Isa Usman has said is in the race.
A contender for the seat of Chairmanship of the Council gave the hint while reacting on the briefing of Doma Local Government Chairman, Arc. Ahmed Sarki Usman who told his teeming supporters that the Secretary had stepped down him.
Usman described the latest development as a mere fallacy meant to compel him to step down by the outgoing Chairman of the Local Government.
“I will only step down if I did not declare for the seat but I had declare already, I have consulted many persons and there is no going back on my ambition.
Calling on his teeming supporters not to be distracted by some politicians spreading rumors that he has step down for.
In a chat with Universal Reporters, The current Secretary of the Local Government, Comrade Ibrahim Isan Usman told the team of ward coordinators that is still in the race.
Saying he will remain focused and committed, He said his ambition was meant to right some wrongs been committed daily in Local politics.
“All I know was that there is No Victor “No Vanquished “.
Ibrahim Isa Usman said he would be accessible to all and sundry to move the Local Government to an enviable height.
