Eleven days after illegal arrest and continue detention of a Barber,Mr. Kolawole Olaleye in ancient town of  Ihunbo, Ipokia Local government area of Ogun State by the men of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), Magbon in the State over trump-up charge, a reputable  human rights organization in Nigeria, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has concluded arrangement  to forward a Petition Letter  to report the erring Police officers to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Chairman of the Police Service

Commission (PSC), Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 2, the National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC) and other concerned authorities in the country.

The group stated that the Petition Letter had become imperative to report erring Police officers, including; Officer Bello with phone number -08036110857, attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), Magbon in the State. Bello in collaboration with one Mr. Joseph Olamide Adesiyan, a known smuggler, bunkerer and land

grabber, who is illegally parading himself as Onihunbo of Ihunbo in the ancient town had earlier plotted to indict the innocent and law abiding Olaleye with many tricks by saying, he is a member of cult, alleged him of vandalizing a vehicle parked in front of Adesiyan private residential house turned to Palace after Adesiyan directed his thugs to burn the ancient palace of the town in years back, because the cocked up story of stoning the vehicle of Mr. Adesiyan could not fly again.

It alleged that Mr. Adesiyan had engaged the service of some police officers in the area for time to time illegal arrest of those who perceived to be his opposition to all his nefarious activities in the town (Ihunbo) and youths of the town was the target of this illegal arrest by the security agents.

CHRSJ, had earlier called for the urgent intervention of the Police authorities in the land in a media report last week, upon  which the Force Headquarters in Abuja  responded responsively with the security message on 21st and 22nd  October,2019 that  “Mr. Adeniyi: Your complaint is hereby acknowledged, investigation initiated. Speaking through a statement by the CHRSJ’s Executive Chairman, Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman and copies were made available to newsmen on Friday over the subject matter, he maintained that the O/C F-SARS Magbon, Supol Tijani Muhammed has been contacted as directed by

the Force Headquarters on Phone number-08027385179 and two members of the rights organization had met him on the matter but it could not yield positive result yet because few men under the O/C F-SARS, who were working with the man(Adesiyan) at the centre of the trump up allegation against Olaleye, were looking for concrete evidences -to rope their so-called suspect(Mr. Olaleye).

Comrade Sulaiman who spoke further that he had thrown the question before Supol Tijani Muhammed that which of the section of the Law empowers the Police to detain the suspect on frivolity more than 48 hours without court taking him to court or giving him Police bail, adding that Supol Muhammed promised to get back to the leadership of the organization but until the time of filling this report, no information has been received from O/C F-SARS and Olaleye is still in the Police custody.

CHRSJ boss disclosed that they have been worried that the Police mighty have made Olaleye to make some confessional statement under duress as directed them to obtain by Mr. Joseph Adesiyan in order to ensure that Police gets Olaleye remanded and later imprisoned by the Magistrate Court.

Sulaiman who doubles as National Coordinator of Coalition of Human and Civil Rights Organizations (COHCRO) in Nigeria, condemned illegal detention of Kolawole Olaleye, explaining that after the group might have forwarded the Petition Letter to the Police authority; they would seek redress in Court against the Police in the land to claim damages for violation of fundamental human rights of Olaleye over illegal detention beyond the stipulated law time.

Earlier, it would be recalled that the same Adesiyan had ordered for the illegal arrest of innocent four DJs that were anchoring a birthday programme on July 7th, 2019 at BEEBEE Hotel in Ihunbo because their parents were not in support of his (Adesiyan) illegal parading himself as monarch of the town and as well turn his residential house to illegal palace.
