Igbo Community In Plateau State Honour Labour Guber Candidate, Dr. Patrick, Sadiq Plaza For Outstanding Contributions

The Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Dr Patrick Dakum was   on Saturday  honoured with the Igbo highest  “Ochie Ndi Igbo III of Jos,” described Igbo as one of the strong pillars of the Plateau state economy

Dr.  Dakum, was conferred with the chieftaincy title “Eze Chuckwuemeka Ndigbo” on November 26, 2022, by the Plateau State chapter of the association at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, during the commemoration of Ndigbo Day for the year 2022.

Chief Basil Ibebuike, presented Dakum the chieftaincy title and congratulated the governorship candidate by saying Igbo are more united and are one indivisible tribe that would work together to achieve the 2023 general election victory.

He said the two illustrious sons of the state deserve to be honour because of their immense contributions to humanity and are very good friends of the Igbo community, stating they love and care for the inhabitants of the state.

Chief Basil Ibebuike, disclosed that Dr Patrick and Said Plaza were honoured in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the economic well-being of the state and the country.

After receiving the awards, Dr Patrick Dakum thanked Igbo community for the honour and assured them that if given the mandate his administration would support them to make the plateau state the economic hub of the country.

He said he would liaise with the Igbo Forum to ensure that they enjoy a conducive business atmosphere  “he said this occasion is very, very important to him which signifies the unity amongst us, as part of the rainbow of the Plateau people Igbo play one of the colors in the unity progress of oneness  ’’.

He also called for the adoption and implementation of sustainable peaceful coexistence in all the states of the country, adding that LP presidential candidate is waiting to be sworn in as the next president of Nigeria come 2023 .

Dakum commended the whole Igbo community in the State for the enormous honor bestowed upon him in response to the Chieftaincy title. He stated: “For this honor, I am grateful to all Igbo in the Plateau. Politics are not the only reason for this affiliation with the Igbo community.”

He asserts that the chieftaincy title has given him the right to enter the Igwe’s palace and assume an advisory function, which will last until God signs the form authorizing his departure from earth.

Dakum pledged to support and be a part of the Igbo community. He remarked, “The Igbo community can count on me to remain a partner.” I’m going to be there no matter what. I’ll cry beside you when you cry. I’ll join you in your mirth whenever you laugh. “I will listen to what you want me to accomplish for you on the plateau, and since I possess a title in your palace, I will carry it out as you have instructed.”

He further lauded the Igbo, saying they are doing amazingly well in their efforts to promote peace in the state.

Dakum expressed optimism that by May 29, 2023, the Labour Party’s presidential candidates, Mr. Peter Obi and Baba Ahmed, will be sworn in as president and vice president, respectively, while on the Plateau, he and Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN) will be sworn in as governor and deputy governor. Dakum also praised the Igbo community for its significant contribution to Plateau State’s economy.

He explained further that without the Igbo community the state can’t be complete and current peace we are now enjoying Igbo play an important role.

Meanwhile, Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Shaibu expressed satisfaction with the Igbo award of honoured bestowed on him as one of the philanthropists whose contribution to the development and empowerment of women and youths.

He said this honour would spur me to do more for the development of humanity,he employed politicians to eschew politics of bitterness and all rancour and build a great nation.

Abubakar Sadiq stressed that as the 2023 political season kick-off we are appealing to politicians to work together for the unity of one Nigeria.
